About me

Portrait of Nicolas Godefroy

QA Lead / Test Analyst, I have been working since 2017 on user acceptance testing and release validation in high-traffic e-commerce and retail environments (Kiabi, PrestaShop, Voyages-sncf.com). I cover the whole chain: analysing specifications, designing test cases, running campaigns, qualifying defects and monitoring after each release.

My added value sits on the boundary between the functional and the technical: API and web service testing, database checks, batch validation and automating recurring checks through JavaScript scripts in Postman. Used to Agile contexts, I am a hands-on and rigorous profile, equally comfortable with business teams and development teams.

Understand the functional and technical specifications, identify the business risks and design test cases that genuinely cover the critical journeys.

Execute

Run the acceptance campaigns, regression tests and sanity checks, combining interface, API, batch processing and database checks.

Secure

Qualify and prioritise defects, monitor the RUN and validate deliveries after each release, working directly with the product, development and business teams.

Assignment on an internal OMS order management tool in an e-commerce / retail environment. Securing application changes through functional testing, API testing, batch validation and data checks.

  • Creating and controlling database test data sets to validate order journeys and the related processing.
  • Testing web services with Postman, Bruno and Swagger, and verifying data exchanges between systems.
  • Automating recurring checks through JavaScript scripts in Postman to make validations more reliable.
